Junior Clubs

Junior Clubs are a great way for children to play badminton. All NEWBA clubs have qualified coaches to help a player reach their full potential, whether that is a social player to an international player. The club setting is a great way for children to socialize, learn to be part of a team, but also give them the confidence to compete on their own.

All clubs are registered to NEWBA and Badminton Wales, which covers the club with Public Liability Insurance. Most clubs work on a pay and play basis, which allows children to try out the sport with no obligation to sign up to a club. You may be asked to pay a small annual fee, which covers the child for Personal Accident Insurance, whenever they play badminton.

NEWBA Affiliation Fees
Senior/Junior Club £20
Senior Player £17
Junior Player (Up to U19   age group) £8.50

Junior clubs offer a pathway to competitive play, with all clubs entering teams in the NEWBA Junior Badminton League, but also promote the many tournaments played throughout the season. Junior clubs are also the starting point for many of our players who have gone on to international success at junior and senior level.

The list below gives details of where and when the clubs plays. All clubs are particularly keen to welcome new players. If you would like any information about the clubs, you can either contact the club direct or contact NEWBA.
