A 7 – 1 win for the A team was not unexpected but at third mixed the story was different. Ruthin A kept up their challenge to take the Division 1 title with a close 5 – 3 away win over Rossett A. Matty Burrows starred for Ruthin and together with partner Owain Astley they played controlled badminton in the men’s first doubles to edge out Rob Pugh and Simon Ellis by 21/17, 21/17.

NEWBA AAfter a number of years without a Senior County Competition held in Wales, Conwy Badminton Association decided to take it into their own hands in reviving the Inter County Championships. With the initial idea being presented to Counties across North Wales, the response was excellent. So good in fact, that the Championships has had to be split into two divisions.
