This popular handicap knockout competition, played out over the season, came to a head with both sets of finals taking place at Flint Pavilion in front of a record large and enthusiastic audience.
The Plate final was contested between Holywell A (-10) and Flint (Scr) with Holywell getting the better of an under strength Flint side. In the final of the Challenge Cup event Deeside B (-8) fought a closely contested match overcoming Rossett (Scr) with the decision going down to the wire in the last match.
The annual U13 Celtic Challenge was held at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff. The Welsh youngsters were on fire and retained the trophy against strong opposition
They beat Lothian (representing Scotland) 12-3, Leinster (Eire) 11-4 and Ulster (N Ireland) 11-4.
