It’s an exciting time for NEWBA and we are currently introducing The NEW way coaching program not only to our County Squad program, but hopefully throughout the all badminton sessions being held throughout North East Wales.
Our County Squad is currently made up of 2 squads. The A squad is made up of our more experienced players, some whom have represented Wales and the B squad is made up of less experienced younger players.
We will be holding trials for those players not currently part of our Junior County Squads.
Both courses are being run at Bryn Estyn Badminton Centre, Conwy.
The dates for the courses are as follows:
UKCC Level 1: Day 1 – 29/10/16, Day 2 – 30/10/16, Day 3 – 20/11/16
UKCC Level 2: Day 1 – 14/01/17, Day 2 – 15/01/17, Day 3 – 25/02/17, Day 4 – 18/03/17

Recently a meeting was held inviting junior clubs/coaches and parents to attend so we could introduce a new unique and exciting project which, we feel, will improve badminton for junior players throughout North East Wales.
The meeting was well attended by the majority of junior clubs in North East Wales, but was also well supported by coaches and parents from across the region.
Because of the encouragement and engagement we have received from this meeting we are pleased to announce The NEW Way (The North East Wales Way) Project.
This review has led to the decision that our main initial focus and commitment will be on the junior sections of our organization, where we have looked at player development, coaching and playing opportunities.
Looking at the above criteria, we believe we have created a unique and exciting package which, we feel, will improve badminton for junior players throughout North East Wales.
